Haruri Borzak

Haruri was born into the Magus Borzak clan, where her grandfather Odd Borzak was a noted Magus who eventually became a Dead Apostle while pursuing his research which then eventually lead him to destroy and kill scores of people and even an entire town to create an army of Ghouls, leading him to be hunted by both the Church and the Association for his destructive actions. This eventually lead him to surgically alter his face and change his name in order to hide his identity and constantly change locations to avoid detection. Eventually he was killed by two Freelancers while in a plane, which then left his surviving family to be viciously attacked and ransacked for his research, leaving only Haruri, his granddaughter, as the only survivor.

Left as the only survivor of the Borzak family, Haruri was taken in by an Unnamed Magus from the Clock Tower who possessed the physical body of a young girl, but had a mind far older. Despite teaching her Magecraft, her teacher did not take her in as her official apprentice and was simply her legal guardian, and therefore, when Haruri made her intention to join the True and False Holy Grail Wars for the sake of her vendetta against the Mage’s Association and the World of Magecraft, she could do nothing to stop her and only try to convince her not to get involved with Francesca Prelati due to not being able to forcibly compel her as she was not her apprentice.

Haruri encountered Francesca Prelati while attempting a mystical approach to the United States in pursuit of her goal. She accepted Francesca’s deal for a chance to destroy the magical world she hates
